Secondary services
1. Helping in getting a “Disability Certificate” as per PWD act 1995. This certificate is given to people with physical disability and mental disability also. Various benefits are available for . patients with more than 40% disability. This certificate is required for monthly pension, traveling concessions, job reservations, education scholarships, loan facilities.
For applying this a patient needs residential proof, 2 pass port photographs. Contact our volunteer / help desk/ help line number for more details.
2. Following social benefits are given by government agencies in Kerala.
a. State Disability pension.
b. Travelling concessions in Railway & KSRTC buses.
c. Scholarships for education.
d. Financial assistance for marriages of female patients / their daughters.
e. Ration card subsidies.
f. Income tax exemptions under section 80 U/ 80 DD / 80 G / 80 DD B.
g. Allowance for child care for female patients.
h. Allowance for children of government servants with disability.
i. “Aswasa Kiranam”- for take care of bed ridden patients.
j. Loan from National handicapped finance and development cooperation.
k. Registration of parents under 1999 National Trust Act for mentally disable.
l. Disabled patients grievances registration act 1995.
m. Financial help from Chief Minister’s relief fund.
n. Karunya Deposit scheme – for differently abled child education funds
